I like to work off of the principle based on a quote by Zora Neal Hurston: " If you are silent about your pain, they’ll kill you and say you enjoyed it." I believe that healing comes from giving your pain a voice and finding healthy ways to cope and explore who you have become through the pain. Healing in and of itself can be painful, but finding supportive and safe community can help ease some of the discomfort. I believe in therapy because I invested in therapy for myself for several years- I know the benefit of having someone to walk in the darkness with you.
I am here to help you work on your goals while not losing yourself. Therapy is a space where you can truly set aside time to focus on your healing and your life goals I am trained in the Progressive Counting and would love to assist you in resolving past/present traumas.
Therapy should be a place that you feel fully seen. Choose someone that makes you feel safe, heard and empowered. That is my goal for my clients and if that is your goal I am the therapist for you. I am currently only accepting self pay clients, but I have a resource list of foundations that might have funding to assist you with payment.
