As a therapist, I find it important for clients to have a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental place to explore their concerns. Along with providing such an environment, I work collaboratively with clients, utilizing a strengths-based, client centered approach, to find paths toward healing and solutions that work best for them and their life situations. I believe such a therapeutic environment offers people the opportunity for personal growth and development as well as a deeper understanding of themselves.
With 20+ years working in the counseling field, my experience has ranged from working in domestic violence/sexual abuse programs, in city and suburban mental health centers, and hospital settings. I welcome working with people from various backgrounds experiencing mental health concerns and illnesses as well as relationship issues and divorce recovery.
My experience has created an appreciation for the complexities and strengths inherent in each of us. I see individuals, ages 18 and above. I offer both daytime and evening hours and am in network with several major insurance plans.
