Anxious, Stressed? Distracted? Depressed? There’s so much in life you can’t control, but you don’t have to feel powerless in how you respond. In my practice, I aim to create a warm, supportive space for adults. I have treated college students, therapists, doctors, nurses, and small business owners, among others. I offer clients tools to address ADHD, stress, anxiety, trauma, and grief, plus friendship, marriage, and other relationship issues. I use Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) as well as more short-term goal-oriented techniques, including Cogntitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
If a traumatic event is impacting your life, I’m trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a short-term trauma therapy that can bring peace in just a few sessions. ART can also help with grief, social anxiety, and ADHD symptoms, including ongoing procrastination and task paralysis, as well as Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria.
After decades as a magazine writer, I pivoted to a career in counseling and bring a wealth of lived experience to my work, in addition to my clinical training. I have written about medicine, wellness, relationships, and parenting, plus I've been a wife and mom for more than three decades. Let's do an intake session to see if we're a good fit.
