I strive to help adults and older adults achieve balance through therapy. I am licensed in Maryland, Delaware, DC and Virginia and I have been a Medicare provider since 2009. Through my experience in working with adults and older adults, I am aware of the unique challenges that they encounter during these stages of life. In my practice, I focus on one's strengths and I help clients to recognize their own distinct set of coping skills to live the good quality of life that they deserve to live. I provide Telehealth via Zoom to allow clients the ability to receive support in the comfort and safety of their own homes.
For over 20 years, I have worked with clients of all backgrounds. In addition to earning a PhD in Social Work, I have a Master's degree in Gerontology. Through my experience, I have developed a special understanding of the challenges related to the natural changes that occur in the life cycle and the importance of developing and utilizing coping skills.
Each individual's needs are unique when she/he is seeking therapy. As we age, we will encounter both physical and mental struggles that may lead to feeling isolated and alone. If one is a caregiver, this may intensify. Therapy can help one to feel connected and restore quality of life. I offer individual and couples counseling with evening and weekend hours.
