Rene provides online therapy for childhood trauma, specializing in childhood emotional neglect (CEN), abandonment, and abuse. He’s experienced working with people from diverse backgrounds, and specializes in helping Latinx and LGBTQIA+ people currently struggling as a result of trauma growing up. Common issues affecting his clients are shame and guilt, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and complex PTSD. He uses an eclectic approach, and he pulls from Trauma Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and other modalities that he deems best to meet his clients needs.
Rene understands the unique challenges that come from early in life abuse, and he creates a safe space that sets the stage for deeper work. He’s also skilled at
detecting the hidden wounds that stem from emotional neglect, and he uses the most up-to-date, evidenced-based practices to help his clients overcome their past, and build healthier relationships.
Because human connection is the ultimate healing tool, Rene encourages prospective clients to reach out in order to get a sense of whether he's the right fit. Rene believes that the relationship clients have with their therapist is usually the best predictor of a good therapeutic outcome.
