If you feel trapped, uneasy or stalled in making decisions, I can help. The stresses of life squeeze our ability to think clearly and feel at the same time. As a result, our emotions rule us, resulting in depression, anxiety, anger, and relationship difficulties. I help clients learn to regulate their emotions, reduce triggers and reach their goals. I also work with clients estranged from loved ones and those with bodily struggles such as eczema/steroid withdrawl and connecting with their bodies
In therapy, we collaborate to discover the whys and hows of your behaviors. I use an intersectional approach to explore life story in its societal context and explore different tools to deal with overwhelm and stuck-ness. For trauma processing, I offer EMDR, Ego State work (IFS), Somatic Experiencing and Lifespan Integration.
Together we can define goals that fit your passions and strengths. I work with clients of all ethnic/racial backgrounds and genders on issues of identity and inter-generational understanding. I am a relational, multicultural and social justice-oriented therapist who provides practical approaches. I enjoy on women of color, adoptees and immigrants.
