TEENS: I help teens (and young adults), beginning at age 15 years, who are feeling overwhelmed by depression or anxiety and the isolation that it brings. Through a combination of talk therapy and practical skills-building, we'll work together to resolve their burdens and develop a solution for overcoming their challenges. Working through the hard stuff (with a healthy dose of laughter to get through the pain) leads them to a place of peace and relief. Finally, they're able to find joy in being themselves.
I also work with adults struggling with major life decisions, which path to choose, uncertainty. Together, we'll process the fear and confusion while designing a concrete plan to move forward. Suddenly life won't seem as challenging, as you enter your best independent state of being: ready to confidently take on the world!
I do a free screening of my clients in order to make sure we're a good fit. I don't believe in having the most amount of clients, but rather being able to best help the clients I do have. (If you self-harm, you'd be better off seeing a DBT therapist. If the main issue is trauma from abuse, EMDR is recommended. And I do not specialize in eating disorders.)
