We are an inter-disciplinary team supporting long term sobriety and trauma healing for individuals, couples, youth, and families. Every role and relationship in the family needs support to heal from addiction and trauma. We specialize in the intersection between substance use, sex addiction, betrayal trauma, other trauma, attachment distress, and faith crisis. We promote healing and recovery through cultivating a sober way of life that heals and transforms a person's relationships to their body, to primary partners, children, peers, community, and seeks resilience through meaningful spiritual practices.

I practice from a strength-based, attachment focused and person centered approach to support people in their healing journey. My practice is focused on assisting those who are experiencing challenges such as loss, chronic or acute illness, relationship conflicts, stress, family concerns and symptoms of depression and anxiety. I provide counseling services to diverse clients as they learn, change, grow, and function in increasingly inspired, creative, healthy, and adaptive ways. I work collaboratively with clients in identifying needs, making changes, and practicing new skills in a safe and supportive setting. I am experienced in working with adults, couples, families, as well as adolescent clients, on issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, anger, identity, and unwanted thoughts or emotions.

I have two specialties, working with children and parents through adoption issues and working with children whose parents are experiencing separation and divorce. As a certified adoption specialist, I help adoptive parents and adopted children navigate through the developmental stages adoption brings. I also assist birth parents and adult adoptees through the complexities of search and reunion issues so they can complete their stories and find healing.

I view individuals from a psychodynamic perspective (insight oriented approach that looks at past patterns and experiences and how they affect current relationships and behavior). However, I work with you based on where you are functioning and use a variety of therapeutic techniques. An effective working relationship is the most important factor in therapy and that is what we work on at the beginning of treatment and continue to assess throughout our work together. I view the therapeutic process as a collaborative effort and appreciate feedback from you about your goals and progress in treatment.
