As part of our work together you are invited to participate in meditation classes and relationship groups.
My approach to awakening is really quite simple: We engage in honest and direct dialogue about relationships, work, and your-self. During sessions you recognize core beliefs, thoughts, and feelings that create unsatisfying and difficult situations. In time you overcome anxiety, depression, and addictions that hinder a meaningful life. Additionally, you let go of long held resentments and regrets about your self, others, and the world. You become emotionally and mentally stable and discover practical solutions to everyday problems. With greater awareness, your energy is used for creativity. You are guided into a bright future!

I'm a retired professor with over 15+ years of teaching & research experience exploring the relationship between one's identities & lived experiences.
Have you experienced being in a space where there isn’t anyone who looks or feels like you? You felt different and unwelcomed somehow... Did you experience difference in a way that made small paper cuts in your heart? Using a trauma-informed integrative approach to self-discovery and healing, I invite you on a journey to explore how your lived experiences shaped your perception of yourself and the world around you, your pattern of communication, and the relationship that you have with yourself and others. Key questions driving our work together: (1) Who are you? (2) How did you get here? (3) Where would you like to go from here?

"I now see how owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do." - Brené Brown I agree. You've already taken a courageous step. I hope to begin a counselor/client relationship that I believe will be a helpful, rewarding, and healing process. Choosing a mental health counselor must be an attentive and conscientious course of action. I offer both individual and group therapy to help increase your self esteem and shame resiliency, combat perfectionism, and to foster your journey towards authenticity, vulnerability, and embracing your story.

Common areas I help with are marital/relationship issues, personal identity/fulfillment, psychospiritual development, sexual empowerment/identity, work/life balance, and vocational identity.
If you've ever felt uncomfortable with mental health diagnosis and thought "there's more to me than a diagnosis", you might be looking for an Enneagram Informed Therapist. I work with adults and couples who are typically diagnosed with anxiety, depression, or ADHD and use the personality framework of the Enneagram to help them understand their whole self, rather than just their diagnosis. I am a licensed Marriage & Family therapist, as well as an Enneagram coach who combines Western and Eastern treatment methods. I have additional training in Hakomi Method, Drama Therapy, and am certified by CP Enneagram.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
