I enjoy working with children, teens, and adults. I work with my clients addressing: ADHD, Anger Management, Anxiety, Behavioral Issues, Career Counseling, Chronic Illness, Learning Disabilities, Transitions, Obsessive-Compulsive, Oppositional Defiance, Parenting, Developing Coping and Social Skills, Pregnancy/Postpartum, Relationship Issues, School Issues, Self-Harm, Suicidal Thoughts, Self Esteem, Depression, Domestic Violence, Emotional Distress, and Grief and Loss.

I have a doctorate in clinical psychology, a master's degree in clinical psychology, and an undergraduate degree in clinical/counseling psychology. I have ten years of experience working in the mental health field at a variety of settings including community mental health, partial hospital, residential treatment, and private schools. I work with children, teenagers, adults, and older adults.

Over my 20+ years working in the mental health field, I have seen the impact that therapy can have on individuals and families as they seek to find peace and healing. Children and adults with a variety of life challenges are no stranger to me. I absolutely love what I do and find it a privilege to partner with individuals on their therapeutic journey. Sometimes we don’t know what isn’t working, it’s just that we don’t feel good. Sometimes we know that something isn’t working for us but don’t know how to change it. Then there are times when we know what the issue is and what we need to do to change that but get or feel stuck where we are. Talking with someone can be very helpful in sorting all of this out. Whether you know what is wrong or not, whether you know what to change or not, we can work together to identify how to help you feel better. Weigel Counseling Associates was established in 1993 by John Weigel, Licensed Psychologist.
