As a male therapist in the Stroudsburg and adjacent communities, I assist individuals with addressing the many challenges that persist in our environment, and that promote unexpected, overwhelming stress. What sets the identity of my sessions is their structure and strategy. While I believe in having client centered treatment, I've often felt as though the therapist/client relationship requires strategy and tangible advancement that can be noted by the client. What this means is that using psycho education to identify thought or behavior patterns is often used as well as guided conversations to further explore the nature of distressed mental health symptoms. First off, thank you for taking the time to read my profile. In my time as a counselor/therapist I have found that the process of selecting a therapist is at best awkward, and at worst terrifying. People simply don’t wake-up feeling upset one day and think, “Wow, I feel yucky, I think I will talk to a therapist.” More often than not a therapist is considered as a last resort, or after coming to a conclusion of, “I don’t know what else to do.”
