I work with individuals and couples, from ages 14 to 85. I address issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, grief, drug and alcohol addiction, marital and relationship issues, positive communication, positive parenting, behavior modification, goal and career setting, self esteem, personality and relationship enhancement. My view of counseling is a helping process. Helping you make positive choices about what you want to be, have, do, and give to others, and live a happy life. I am passionate about helping adolescents, college students and adults in all stages of life to reach their full potential by assisting them in healing from past wounds and developing healthy patterns for the future. I am experienced in treating a wide variety of mental health issues and have helped my clients to heal from depression, anxiety, PSTD, OCD, relational conflicts and trauma related conditions. As well, I have coached clients toward reaching goals of significant weight loss, relationship resolutions, career transitions and reaching other personal goals.

I offer counseling and psychotherapy to individuals and families. I have worked with a wide range of issues and people in a variety of settings. My therapeutic approach may differ somewhat with each client depending on their personality and what is agreed upon in our initial setting. I lean toward the client centered approach which allows the client to pace the sessions with what they are most comfortable dealing with first. Depending on the needs of the client I often focus on interpersonal interactions, cognitive change and behavioral techniques. The approach is a collaborative decision discussed during the initial session.

I hold a MA from Wake Forest University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and MS in Administration of Justice with special focus in Forensic Mental Health Treatment. I am a master level trained behavior specialist in Applied Behavior Analysis. I am an experienced therapist and hold licenses in Pennsylvania and Ohio. I specialize in behavioral therapy, body-focused repetitive behaviors, non-suicidal self-injury, women’s issues. I am a PCIT (parent child interactive therapy) trained therapist. Psychotherapy and Behavioral services are provided to children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and behavioral issues.
