I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families, and assisting them through the rough patches they encounter. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, grief, stress management, school/work issues, child and adolescent challenges, parenting and family issues, conflict resolution, and anger management to name a few.

Telehealth therapy only but immediate openings- My ideal clients are couples ages 25-60 years of age that are having relationship issues and feel stuck in the negative interactions over and over. I am of the belief my primary role is to help you improve your responses to each other without breaking your core values and or deeply held principles. Your job is to create your own individual goals for being in therapy.  MY job is to help you reach them. I have many tools to help you become a more effective partner – they work best when you are clear about how you desire to be in your relationship.

For more than 25 years I have helped children, adolescents, college students, adults, seniors, couples and families deal with the difficulties in their lives. Whether you are the parent of a child with school or behavior problems, a couple needing relationship counseling, a child, adolescent, or adult with depression and/or anxiety, a college student dealing with the challenges of being on your own, or a family trying to cope with the stresses of divorce, I am here to work actively with you to make the changes necessary to improve your life.

Counseling is a journey. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, the opportunity to copilot as we work through the barriers and forge forward in that journey is my motivation. Although it can feel overwhelming and counterproductive to add yet another thing onto our to do list; being intentional with our time and using it to work on oneself and access resources can expedite healing. Thus, it makes sense that when our tank is low and we are faced with endless battles, we would benefit from something extra introduced into our lives.

Our stories often include twists and turns that keep us from moving forward. That may be due to turbulent relationships, use of substances or a loved one struggling with substance use, bouts of depression or anxiety that impacts quality of life, a loved one passing away or our own thinking patterns that influence our behaviors. My role in working with you is assisting you with moving forward, finding solutions or courses of action, and building your toolbox so that you can cope more productively.

My clients come to therapy feeling disconnected from themselves and overwhelmed with the challenging demands life presents them. Often they present as outwardly successful and are struggling internally with not feeling good enough. They tend to have histories of painful experiences and a misunderstanding of their nervous system’s needs. Despite feeling uncomfortable, they need someone who can sit and witness their pain with them. Many of my clients are individuals within the helping profession and are people going through life changes and transitions who desire to feel more grounded in their professional and personal identities.

Hello! Throughout my ten years in the mental health field, I have worked in settings that range from inpatient to outpatient, as well as school and mobile. My clients represent all stages across the lifespan. My passion is helping clients to address a variety of needs, many of which stem from prior traumatic or dysfunctional patterns, as well as to help them find a more fulfilling balance. I often see clients suffer from imposter and/or Wonder Woman syndrome, frequently manifesting as suicidal ideation, depression, and/or anxiety.

I am a licensed clinical social worker, having practiced psychotherapy with forty years experience. I participate in ongoing continuing education, keeping me current and updated so that I can provide an expertise to a myriad of problems. As a result, I can provide a wide range of invaluable skills and experience, depending on the problems, whether it be relationships, life crisis, a chronic problem, or health-related. I work with most insurance companies and private pay rate is $95 an hour.
