The counseling approach is determined by the client's preference and personal goals as well as the nature of the issue. Any approach will incorporate a strengths-based, client-centered focus that seeks to enhance a person's level of motivation for personal growth and change. My practice is devoted to treating the full range of emotional and psychological problems that an individual may be experiencing from a psychoanalytic perspective. The way to do so, I am convinced, is to explore the past, present and future to clues to what enslaves, what is currently painful and what freedom as a gift of self promises.
