My name is Megan Burden I ‘m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a certified addictions Counselor. I’ve been a therapist for 5 years and absolutely love what I do. I’ve worked with teenagers overcome addictions, families evolved with children's services, first responders, young adults going off to college and become successful, and young adults overcome depression, major trauma, PTSD, self-esteem/ self-worth, human trafficking, relationship struggles, and anxiety.

Times of chaos, confusion, and challenge are opportunities for a shift in perspective and meaningful, long-lasting change. We don't often have a choice about challenging circumstances but we do get to choose how we respond and whether or not we grow stronger from the experience! Using a blend of traditional "talk therapy" and alternative therapies (such as mindfulness, somatic awareness, and creative expression) we collaborate for my clients' restoration of their natural wellness in mind, body, and spirit. I can help you become your best self!

I specialize in the areas of life transitions, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma recovery, addiction recovery, relationship issues, self compassion, identity formation, spiritual/religious experiences, and creating boundaries with others. I am very passionate about my work with my clients. I use a humanistic and attachment-based approach with a systemic lens. I use a trauma-informed approach. I strive to assist my clients with reaching their goals through supportive reflection, insight building and expressive techniques. I see myself as a compass in a client's journey, assisting them reach their goal destination. I work well with a variety of personality types and presenting concerns, ranging from core attachment injuries to trauma to infidelity to anxiety & depression among others. I use a variety of techniques based on client fit.
