I specialize in individual and couples/family therapy and have licenses in psychology and couples and family therapy. My philosophy is to integrate the mind, body and spirit. I have extensive background, experience and knowledge in systemic, contextual, body, mind, spirit, diversity, and interconnections. I derive great satisfaction in serving my clients with a Higher Purpose and of facilitating individuals, couples, families and groups through transitions in their life journey and their transformations for growth, healing and well-being. From my many years of research and experience, I have co-authored a relationship guidebook, Eight Pathways of Healing Love: Your Journey of Transformation.

It has been my privilege to help people develop lives that are deeply meaningful and emotionally satisfying. Psychotherapy is not a set of tricks or techniques. Most of my clients come away from the process with some new practical skills and new, more adaptive ways of looking at life. They also hone their capacities to look at themselves, with more insight and greater self-understanding. Particularly rewarding for me has been my work with families, assisting them in healing from the wounds and fractures of divorce.

I am a sex-positive and trauma-informed therapist who helps people navigate a wide range of complex issues. I believe that everyone deserves a safe and non-judgmental space to talk about the things that matter to them. Some issues I commonly work with are trauma, sex and sexuality, sexual shame, stigmatized sexual identities, fetishes and kinks, relationship communication, healing from infidelity, consensual non-monogamy, gender expression and identity, body image issues, self-esteem, and coping with anger, anxiety, and depression.

Dr. Jim Gedra is a licensed psychologist who works with adolescents and adults. He obtained his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Xavier University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Wright State University. Dr. Gedra has previously been a professor of psychology at the University of Findlay and Murray State University. His previous clinical experience involves working with adolescents and adults at university counseling centers, community mental health centers, and psychiatric hospitals.
