I work with children (ages 3-18) who are experiencing anxiety, depression, academic stress/pressure, friendship concerns, low confidence, anger and strong emotional reactions, concerns related to Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), grief, loss, divorce, and life adjustments. I am particularly skilled at building and maintaining a trusting relationship with adolescents in order to help them feel understood, heard and valued. In addition, I work with emerging adults as they adjust to college, careers, and living independently. Adults that I may see often struggle with anxiety, overwhelm, depression, work/life balance, relationship difficulties, and parenting concerns.
I provide psychological evaluations for children and adolescents (ages 6-17). The diagnostic process is individualized to meet the needs of the client. Information is collected from multiple sources (e.g. parents, child, school, school observation) and is used to help develop interventions. The results are then shared with parents.
I provide warmth, acceptance, empathy, compassion and respect which helps others to feel comfortable, safe and encouraged in their journey toward self-acceptance, personal growth, and wellness. I use an integrative approach incorporating Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies.
