I am a Licensed Social Worker. I have earned my Masters of Social Work from Rutgers University and brings more than 6 years of clinical experience and expertise working with queer folks, adolescents, couples, and families. I specialize in the treatment of adolescents and young adults who are struggling to cope with anxiety, mood, trauma, sexual issues, and relationship issues. I also have experience in working with the queer community on an array of issues and concerns.

I am passionate about the transformative power of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) to help couples reconnect and stop their negative cycle of painful disconnection, conflict, anger and hurt. EFT combines theory and structure into an effective model that helps guide couples back to a secure and loving relationship. I use EFT because I’ve seen its powerful results in couples’ lives. EFT has shown unparalleled success in helping distressed couples to restore and deepen their emotional connection.

I practice with adults of all ages, older adolescents and couples.  I treat clients with problems related to depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship/marriage conflicts, substance abuse issues and those individuals who struggle with emotional regulation.   I have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient mental health counseling, residential treatment, felony court, and inpatient counseling.  I believe the best treatment modality is important for success.  I practice using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and a few others.
