Are you a woman struggling to heal from a traumatic relationship, or maybe a lifetime of traumatic relationships with family members, friends and/or romantic partners? Do you find yourself repeatedly involved with individuals high in narcissistic traits (i.e. superiority, entitlement, exploitative, lack of empathy, etc)? Maybe you struggle to find a strong sense of identity or worth, or keep getting trapped in perfectionism, people-pleasing, and a lack of healthy boundaries?

Through motivational interviewing and a strong therapeutic connection, I can offer you a safe and non-judgmental space to face whatever situations, past or present, may be contributing to substance abuse, anxiety, relationship issues, co-dependency problems, or anything else that may be in the way of achieving your goals.
I have a deep passion for helping those who are suffering from substance use disorders as well as other addictive disorders. Through both a directive and nondirective therapeutic approach, I can help you realize how to identify generational trauma, current trauma, lack of connections, and maladaptive family systems, that so often lead to turning to substances or behaviors to aid in the alleviation of the symptoms of those traumas and attachment injuries. With a loving and secure connection, I can help you identify your goals, realize the steps needed to achieve those goals, and maintain long-term recovery in your life.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
