In counseling I work primarily with young adults and older, providing therapy for individuals, couples and families; utilizing many therapeutic approaches carefully designed to meet each individuals needs. My greatest joy is helping others move towards unlocking their greatest potential of self.

Deciding to begin counseling is one of the best and most important decisions you can make. Successful counseling begins with the therapeutic relationship between the counselor and the client. Trust is at the heart of being able to be vulnerable and honest. This is why I put significant effort into establishing rapport and creating a safe space, free of judgment, for you to feel comfortable discussing difficult issues. I identified with a religion that once gave me freedom, but now it leaves me in bondage. My family was once a safe haven, but now dad is drinking too much and everything I knew is gone.

I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern who specializes in working with adults, couples, and teens. I currently serve as an active-duty Army officer, with over 14 years of federal service. I began my social work journey working with adults and adolescents who suffered from substance abuse. When my military career would allow, I provided counseling services to Soldiers suffering trauma disorders related to abuse and combat service. During my graduate program, I worked with families of babies admitted in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

I offer individual mental health counseling to children, adolescents, and families. Children can often times be difficult for adults to understand.
