The relationship between the client and therapist is an intregal part of the therapy.
I have been in practice for more than 25 years. I have a tremendous respect for the analytic process and for the individuals who are courageous enough to explore their emotional lives. I work with individuals, couples and families. Psychotherapy enables people to have a clear understanding of the themes and patterns in their lives. Having an awareness of our internal life, enables us to grow and create a sense of self.

My philosophy in helping has always focused on the person and the fostering of a relationship.
Hello, my name is John Mann and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1980. I have experience working with mental health, adjustment disorders, relationship dynamics, self esteem, anxiety, depression, life change, trauma, relationship issues, family dynamics, and substance abuse issues with young adults, adults and older adults. I do not believe that people are “broken”, needing to be fixed by a professional. I believe that there are many approaches towards achieving a goal and that working together is the key to establishing an effective and sustainable treatment approach.

I specialize in anxiety & depression, life transitions, and relationship issues.
Hello! My name is Dallas Carey. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a focus on helping others design their own consciousness. I work holistically. This means when someone comes to me, I help them target important life domains (e.g., nutrition, sleep, relationships, stress, thinking style, & daily structure.) For example, I am interested in how you think and feel about yourself (and your future self) & others, as well as how daily lifestyle choices facilitate your well-being. You’ll often catch me saying “Let’s discover the thought between the thoughts" or "that situation didn't make you depressed; your perception did."

What makes you do things that are the exact opposite of what you want? Research reveals, in part, that your unconscious motivations conflict with your conscious intentions. Many blame themselves for making the wrong choices that are conscious but, somehow beyond their immediate control. Without your knowledge, the unconscious drives you in another direction and at your core lay the threatening force of fear that can drag you away from where you want to go. Every time you sense anxiety or fear, you apply the brakes, slow down your journey, and prevent yourself from living your fullest life. We offer psychological tools to move forward.

As most of us know, sometimes life presents challenges. These challenges could cause one to feel overwhelmed, anxious, confused, depressed or discouraged. This is when seeking help through therapy is beneficial. Have you reached a point in life where you know something needs to change, but you are uncertain of what to change or even how? So many of us face these moments where we feel like our life compass is just spinning and we have no clear direction. It feels like you are in the midst of a storm, and missing the proper equipment. Going through life's challenges with no therapy is like standing in the rain with no umbrella.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
