You may have come here because something is not working in your life and you want it better or because you want more from life. I come with my training, my 30 years of experience as a psychotherapist, my many more years of life experience, my mind, good heart and my intention to heal. You come with your issues, your past, perhaps with your anxiety, depression, or guilt. You also come with your strengths, some of which you might not recognize, and upon which we will build. I believe we are equal as humans, just sitting different chairs. I look forward to working with you.

My clinical approach is rooted in the belief that every individual is unique and requires a personalized therapeutic experience. I am passionate about tailoring my interventions to meet the distinctive needs of my clients, recognizing that a one-size-fits-all approach is not effective in addressing the complexities of their lives. Specializing in working with adolescents and adults navigating high-stress environments, my commitment is to empower individuals to confront and overcome the challenges they face, promoting resilience. I assist clients with reimbursement for therapy with all major insurances using simple practice.

The decision to seek out a therapist is an important first step towards positively addressing conflicts, managing distress, and learning to cope with negative or overwhelming feelings. Our team of therapists bring years of therapy experience. We work with children, adolescents, adults, and families who are Deaf or come from Deaf families (includes hearing family/friends who sign). We provide a supportive, nurturing environment. We use a multimodal approach incorporating mind-body therapies with evidence-based treatments. We also offer forensic-clinical services and applied behavior analysis treatment.

I believe every person has the ability to grow and transform. I believe that we can best do so when accompanied compassionately along our journeys. Through increasing self-awareness, cultivating our inner and external resources, and understanding the interconnected influences of mind and body in our daily lives, we can transform through painful times and arrive into greater and deeper capacity for relationships to ourselves and with others. I specialize in working with adults through trauma healing, grief and loss (including that of beloved animals), LGBTQIA+ identities and relationships, depression/anxiety, and life transitions.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
