My favorite part of the therapeutic relationship is when you begin to build self-efficacy; that is, when you begin to realize you have the power to make the changes you so badly desire.
I believe change is possible - let me show you that it really is. Instead of leaving you with temporary band-aids, I offer you the space to make meaningful, lasting shifts in perspective, coping, and patterns.

I collaborate with clients to identify precipitating events that may have led to some of their symptoms or disorders and we work together to identify new patterns/coping skills; develop more adaptive behavioral responses to replace current reactions; find language; develop relationship skills to increase systems of support and reduce symptoms.
Individuals living with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, ADHD, substance use work with me to explore how relationships, systems, experiences and their various identities might affect mental health. You'll candidly process your experiences, identify triggers and learn more adaptive cognitive, behavioral and emotional strategies to alleviate, eliminate, manage or build resilience and improve functioning. I work with immigrants, Latinx, LGBTQIA+, AAPI and BIPOC individuals and am attuned to the ways in which historical injustices and political structures affect the mental health of individuals.

I utilize holistic modalities in sex therapy and I offer individual as well as relationship sessions.
Finding a place we can trust to tell our stories is essential to finding a path to healing, recovery, and transformation. Therefore, it is essential to find someone that can help you reach your potential to transform your life. We all are born with an innate capacity to develop happy and healthy lives. However, sometimes life experiences such as hurts and traumas can interfere with our development and we may become unhappy or unsatisfied with our lives and adopt self-defeating thinking and behavioral patterns.

Anxiety, depression, and the other experiences that bring us to therapy are some of life's greatest challenges, but in therapy they become valuable opportunities for growth. Through therapy our struggles become an opening to deeper self-understanding, to new ways of living, and even to new beginnings. Our suffering asks us to seek help and to find a place where we may learn to better help ourselves. In the supportive context of therapy we begin to see our symptoms and difficulties in a new way- as the first difficult steps on a journey of learning and growth.

At times the road to your fullest life is found by moving through trauma, rage, loss, and betrayal. How we cope with those hardships is important. Therapy can help you become more aware of suffering, the sources that are causing it, and tools to help you overcome it. I invite us to imagine a life beyond fear, shame, and regret. One where you feel your innate wisdom, compassion, and capacity, to live life more fully despite all of its complexities.

You feel alone, misunderstood and anxious about showing up as your full, authentic self. You feel emotionally disconnected from loved ones because they don’t get you anymore. Or maybe they never did. You find yourself searching for meaning in life while trying to understand who you are and where you belong. You feel lost and terrified. Those around you don’t understand, nor do they see how much you’re struggling. You’ve become good at hiding how you really feel. Sometimes you feel others may be better off without you. You're close to giving up, but you want to make a change. You long to be understood and accepted, and to belong.

You’re here because you’re looking for a safe, supportive, judgment free space to show up as yourself. You’ve tried traditional talk therapy but need something more. Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
