Although each person is unique, from my 25 + years working therapeutically in a variety of settings, along with 22 years of training therapists, I have a bias toward the incorporation of: body-mind connection, mindfulness practices, the healing power of relationship, active self-compassion, and nature-based connection within the healing process.
Are you looking to make a life change with the support of alternative holistic methods along with time tested traditional tools? If so, I can help you. Whether you are looking to shift the symptoms of anxiety, depression, or trauma, or wanting support through a life situation or transition, you don’t have to do it alone! I work with people both in a traditional office-based format, as well as in an intensive model to accelerate your process. I also offer individual and group-based personally meaningful, culturally relevant Rite of Passage experiences to support you in conscious and intentional movement through life challenges.

We are always, already in relationship. Whether it is a relationship to another person, place, or oneself, we are in some way connected to and affected by our surroundings. It's in relationship that our deepest hurt can take place, and it's also in relationship that our most profound and liberating healing can occur. Let's utilize relationship- yours and mine, other relationships in your life (partner or friends), and the greater context of society, and nature to illuminate your unconscious patterning, and support you in finding new, intentional ways of being that bring you greater joy, clarity, and wellbeing.

I strive to provide a safe and comforting experience that allows you to open to a deeper relationship with yourself.
As a seasoned psychotherapist/life coach, I believe in our innate healing potential and guide my clients to unlock their internal wisdom, resilience and resources for healing. Somatic (body-centered), mindfulness-based approaches to holistic coaching and therapy, allow me to integrate my clinical training while tuning into intuition to effectively guide the unfolding healing process of my clients. Trauma-informed, holistic coaching and therapy allows for greater capacity to rewire the brain, which can make the unconscious conscious and shift your automatic reactive patterns and outdated beliefs, helping you to live your best life.

I am dedicated to working with people who want to get at the roots of their emotional pain and distress. My fundamental approach to treatment is relational. Therapy is a process where we will develop an alliance in which your emotional and developmental needs are made a priority. Over time, an internalized healing space forms where you can recover access to parts of your true self. Speaking freely without unnecessary self-censorship may be simple, but it is not easy. I encourage you to try it.

If you've found your way to my page, you're likely looking for a shift in your life, relief, change, something more. I too have been in that place, not satisfied and pained. I've been able to capitalize on these moments with help from others and have benefitted greatly. I want to support you in the same way. I want to partner with you during this tender, potent, and valuable time.

I find therapy most potent, important, and meaningful when there is a mix of: compassion/spaciousness (non-judgment); curiosity/levity (as appropriate); & choicefulness. From my background in Somatic Counseling/Body Psychotherapy, I make use of my own body, and body-based (a.k.a. somatic) tracking, applied moment-to-moment in the room with clients. Sometimes this is as simple as noticing the breath, or bringing attention (and other options) to bear when something shifts. There are also many extensive toolboxes of potential somatic interventions that expand the range, and the richness, of what a session together may include.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
