Get started this week! I have openings! User-friendly mental health. What's not working? What would be better? How do we get there? You may not know it yet, but you have everything you need to feel better and reach your goals. I have over 25 years of helping people find tools that work for them to face life's challenges with confidence. Anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues ... we will handle it together, with a lot of laughter and a side of kleenex. I draw from many different techniques and orientations to create a workable plan for the needs of unique individuals with a direct and down-to-earth style.

I work from a strength and client-based perspective. In addition to working from a psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approach, I use CBT, EMDR and “Neurotherapy” techniques. I encourage clients to use their own spiritual beliefs and values in working with their relationship, wellness and adjustment issues. I value clients who are willing to be genuine and to work towards their own goals in their personal journey and relationships.

Relationships are healing, but what if relationships are what you need to heal from? You've experienced toxic relationship after toxic relationship starting in your own family and extending into your adult life. And you are DONE with it. You're ready to deal with the mindfuck that is your life. It's time for change.

I strive to build a collaborative relationship that recognizes each individual's history and strength.
I firmly believe that as hard as they are, difficult times are here to teach us something about ourselves. Every struggle can be seen as an opportunity to discover that which is holding us back, and the potential we carry inside. Often times, it is difficult to see a way out because pain, fear, and shame have a way of blindfolding us, taking away hope and clear vision. This is where I can help. I bring intelligence, compassion, and a discerning ear to help you illuminate your blind spots and find your way to healing.

We can develop a trusting relationship as we talk.
Hello. Are you hurting from sorrow or despair? Or do you simply feel stuck or have a vague feeling of low self-esteem, anxiety or depression.? Maybe you smile on the outside but struggle on the inside, or just need someone to talk to, I will listen, and help you restore hope. I believe we all have innate resilience and potential for growth. Therapy can help you unresoved issues, and resolve behaviors that no longer work. I will not judge, and will safely walk you through each step along the way. I will help you look deeply inside, Sometimes we may even laugh together. I will always be present.

I specialize in working with couples at any stage of their relationship.
Relationships get stuck in cycles and patterns. They can feel oppressive, bland, limiting or severe. Sometimes the closest relationships are filled with pain and distance. You might be having the same conversation over and over again without any resolution. It’s becoming disappointingly predictable. The bliss of being together is missing, and you’re not sure anymore if you and your partner are really there for each other. Everything is feeling dull and challenging, instead of bright and exciting.

I am a therapist because I want to support individuals, couples, and families dealing with relational issues, family/relationship conflict, difficult life transitions, anxiety, and depression. Maybe you have tried time and time again to break old patterns. Or maybe you are just now noticing patterns from your family of origin you would like to break. I know that it can take a lot of energy and courage to begin therapy and I hope that my non-judgmental and collaborative approach will help create an environment where you feel safe to explore your relationships with others and yourself.

I also work with those needing relationship support, whether currently in a relationship or struggling being single.
Helping people build strong relationships and connections to others is my driving force. With these bonds, we can tackle anything. I want to dismantle the beliefs that independence and self-management is the best way to work through problems. It is through connecting with others, building emotional safety, and feeling secure in relationships, can we overcome and thrive. I want to help as many people as I can experience the safety and security that comes from being vulnerable and authentic. I want my clients to know they don't have to walk this life alone or hide parts of themselves to be loved and accepted. Relief is attainable!

This can be the death of a loved one, end of a relationship, change in financial status, etc.
I view our life journey as a collection of experiences that influence who we are and how we see the world. We often experience (and can expect) to deal with hurdles and roadblocks that can make some days unbearable. This is where counseling comes in. I love joining alongside others and empowering them to keep making steps when they don’t think they can. I will always admit to any client that counseling is hard and applaud anyone who takes the step to reflect inward and grow. My hope and main priority are to create a space where ALL individuals feel safe enough to be their authentic selves.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
