My therapeutic approach is a strength-based perspective that focuses on a person's innate potential rather than pathologies and shortfalls. Consistent with this approach, my role as a therapist lies not in solving problems but in helping clients examine inhibited issues and biases, identify practical solutions to their problems and progress towards deeper wisdom. I have worked with clients of various ethnicities, addressing a range of mental health issues, relationship problems, and life transitions.
I draw on my experience of 15 years in travel journalism and Corporate America to support my clients as they navigate the stress and success in their place of work, endure layoffs, reevaluate priorities, and make renewed efforts towards new beginnings. Sometimes I use mindfulness techniques to supplement therapy.
My therapeutic style is adaptive to the individual needs of my clients. The process of change is an ongoing dialogue. This process can be brief or long term, depending upon a client's needs. I speak Hindi and English.
