Assessing and breaking apart these negative beliefs is the cornerstone for improving your relationship with yourself and having more satisfaction within your relationships.
Relationships are essential to a rich and meaningful life. Often these connections are filled with many confusing and conflicting emotions. In the quiet of my office you can begin to understand the impact these relationships have upon your view of yourself and others. Thoroughly we will understand how your mind interprets and reacts to events and people. Knowledge brings awareness, and awareness creates opportunity for positive change. I have a calm gentle approach that gives you the space you need to explore your full range of emotional experiences.

I work with clients to address relationship and intimacy issues, navigate sexual identities, consensual non-monogamy, sex/porn compulsive behaviors, and sexual dysfunctions.
Navigating challenges around sex involves more than what happens between the sheets. Sex is a topic that is often met with secrecy, embarrassment, or shame and is shaped by cultural norms and societal expectations. These influences can impact our perception of what's deemed acceptable or “normal”. When issues arise, the fear of judgment often keeps us silent, trapped in a state of quiet desperation rather than seeking help. I am committed to creating a secure and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their sexuality, reshape it according to their desires, and affirm their true selves.

Therefore, I help clients to know and understand those emotions, along with relationship patterns that arise from those emotions, while incorporating tools for managing anxiety.
I have been in practice for over 30 years, helping clients to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. Life often challenges our ability to maintain equilibrium. Whether it's in work or love, choices are often linked to experiences or emotions that have not yet come to light. As we reflect on experiences, anxiety is lowered or becomes easier to bear. This leads to a greater ability to meet life goals--when we tolerate anxiety well enough to sort out true needs from a desire to escape a bad feeling, we tend to move toward those goals.

I also specialize in therapy that focuses on the relationship between the child and parents.
My therapeutic approach mainly focuses on helping my clients identify their strengths to help alleviate anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am a firm believer that our childhood experiences contribute to our beliefs, behavioral patterns, and selecting a romantic partner. Therapy is a process! To allow ourselves to be intimate and vulnerable with someone about our experiences and trauma can be daunting. As a therapist, it is my goal to help validate, create a safe environment and help understand aspects of lived experiences.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family dynamics, self-esteem/identity & life transitions.
Change is hard, especially when we feel stuck in old patterns, challenging relationships or unsatisfying careers . It can feel like a really lonely place to be. But you don't have to experience this alone. Therapy can help you make the changes you've been struggling to make on your own. We will explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors from the past and present, to understand the patterns that may be making you feel stuck on a loop. We will work to gain awareness and insight into barriers that may be standing in your way and preventing you from achieving your goals, while also identifying your strengths and how to use them.

I provide individual, couples, and group therapy for conditions like anxiety and depression, among others, as well as communication and relationship skills.
I love those moments when a client has an “Aha Moment,” saying with raised awareness, “I’ve never thought about it that way before.” Perhaps this moment is in regard to helping heal an emotional wound or recognizing how to overcome a seemingly insurmountable barrier standing in the way of one’s goals. Sometimes clarifying what those goals are, discovering a path toward achieving them, then taking small/realistic steps to do so is what the therapeutic work is about. Healing emotional wounds and uncovering or remembering your strengths will help you clarify and possibly even reach your goals.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
