In therapy, I offer a safe and caring relationship that supports you in doing this life-changing work.
Are you feeling unhappy, isolated, stressed, stuck, or like nothing ever goes right? Do you want to improve your relationships with friends, family, or partners? I strongly believe everyone can benefit from a safe space to process their emotions and struggles. It’s daunting to find a therapist who is right for you. I will meet you where you’re at - whether that’s helping you find the words to express yourself or finding the right goals and motivations to move to the next phase of life. Healing, growth, and change are lifelong practices that often need a tune-up. I love working with teens, young adults, and adults of all ages.

I work with couples and adult individuals with relationship issues, depression, anxiety, and life transition issues.
Therapy is about change. What I enjoy most about my work is witnessing people make real changes in their lives and relationships. Many people have habitual ways of thinking, acting and interacting that do not lead to the outcomes they hope for in life. I see my role as therapist as one of helping people become more aware of the choices they make that do or don't work for them. Through better self understanding, people are able to change internal or relational habits and achieve greater satisfaction in relationships and in life in general.

Together we work to help you balance emotions, shift unhelpful beliefs, resolve trauma, deepen forgiveness and forge new pathways to wellness and relationship health!

No longer alone. We are here with you. In life, we experience different events, such as the recent pandemic, financial stress, overwhelming anxiety and pressure, the loss of a loved one, the unexpected divorce, a difficult birth, etc. and adjust the best we can, using our strengths and supports. We mostly do well. However, sometimes our coping strategies are insufficient to achieve our long term goals and heal our emotional and/or relationship wounds. You turn to others for support and guidance, such as family, friends, religious and ethnic community, and sometimes, you want to go deeper within yourself to seek out the answers.

Despite our best efforts, sometimes it just doesn’t seem like life goes quite the way we planned. Family/relationship conflicts, worry about a child’s choices/behaviors, feelings of overwhelm/anxiety, grief/loss or a major life transition are often a part of our lives. And, unfortunately, sometimes these events are compounded by a lack of support or critic voices. Although it may not feel like it, I truly believe we are all doing the best we can in any given moment with the tools & information we have at that time and am passionate about supporting you in discovering your strengths and new strategies to create the changes you seek.

I work with Asian American individuals and couples around relationship issues. Most of my clients are thriving in their careers, but they want more. They want meaningful and deep connections. They want to be seen and accepted for who they are. But as Asians living in the US, being seen and understood is often complicated by cultural misunderstandings, holding conflicting values and identities, communication differences, prejudice and racism, intergenerational trauma, and immigration issues.

BE, the supportive, loving, stimulating, faithful partner YOU are looking for; or gain a greater and deeper understanding of yourself. Rather you are in a relationship or not, we all seek to connect, it's natural. We all are born with unique "gifts." What are yours? Learn to express them and attract who and what you want. As your Therapist, I listen to your problems, non-judgmentally, and we set goals for our work. It's your life! My specializations include working individually with men, women, couples, and groups; trauma, PTSD, self-esteem, social and emotional instability, and depression, represent a short list.

There are times in our life when difficulties lead to thoughts and feelings inside of us that we are uncomfortable with. Ignoring those feelings doesn’t exactly make them go away often leaving us frustrated and feeling stuck. So what can you do? Well, I can tell you that counseling is a helpful way to find relief and healing for those struggling with mental and emotional suffering, relationship conflicts, daily stress, and unhealthy behavior patterns.

My aim is to build a trustworthy relationship from which we can jointly address difficult thoughts, complex emotions, or challenging situations presented in life.
Would you like to better manage your emotions? Are you feeling like you're not good enough? Feeling unseen? Difficulty sharing your thoughts? Are you concerned that your teen or child has really strong reactions or difficulty managing a transition? The individuals and families I work with are diverse and are seeking support to address complex challenges, such as relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, or response to a stressful life event. Estoy al servicio de adultos, familias, y jovenes, que buscan enfrentar a los retos de la vida, y de niños/niñas con dificultad para controlar sus emociones y comportamientos.

Bienvenidos/Welcome! I am a bilingual/bicultural Spanish-speaking therapist located in the East Bay area of California. I have been working with children, teens, and adults of color struggling with an array of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship satisfaction, life purpose, trauma, postpartum depression, and spirituality, related to life transitions, family stress, trauma, and grief. Although my work has focused on the unique needs of minorities and underrepresented individuals, being a member of that community is certainly not a requirement for your personal development.

Do you feel weary of the constant parade of "failed" relationships that show up in your life? Would you like to discover the secret to attracting and keeping a healthy committed relationship? If you answered "yes" to these questions, you have come to the right place. I have 25 years of experience in helping people just like you to understand how the patterns of unhealthy relationships are laid down very early in life. Relationships are like a "dance" in which each partner performs their "steps". Becoming aware of your "steps" means you can change them, and reap amazing rewards.

I work with clients to identify patterns, invite new insights, help process feelings, and encourage them as they build a kinder relationship with themselves.
Welcome! Saludos! I enjoy supporting women of color as they embark on their wellness journey. Culture and family significantly impact our development and I invite clients to share their personal journey. I remain culturally humble, curious, and center clients' stories and experience. Some themes we can explore in therapy include managing personal and professional lives, family of origin issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, transitions, grief/loss including motherless daughters, boundary setting, and life coaching.

The focus is you. People who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and loss sometimes forget that they matter. Other things become more important. When we work together, the most important person is you. We work on getting you better emotionally, physically and spiritually. Then you can heal and have a more balanced life. My clients tell me they appreciate how we get them unstuck in difficult times. They find hope and get energized about their life. I work well with cultural, biracial, multiracial and faith based situations. I have helped many individuals, couples, families and children achieve their goals.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
