I am here to help you listen to the signals of your body, mind, heart and relationship that are calling for a new way of being. Often these signals come in the form of conflict, sexual blocks, loneliness, depression, anxiety, addiction, grief; I believe they are an initiation. Something is out of sync: you know all the "right" things to do, and yet they still don't seem to get to the heart of the problem. You are beginning therapy because part of you knows it would be more uncomfortable to continue "business-as-usual" than to open to change.

I would love to support you through the process of uncovering the relationship of your dreams.
Everything is easier when you feel confident that your partner is in your corner. Sharing the weight of your struggles and amplifying life's joys in what makes relationships worth all the work. Our greatest emotional wounds come from our relationships, and our romantic relationships hold the most healing capacity for not only our collective healing but our individual healing as well. If you're looking for better communication, repairing trust, or throwing out the rulebook and creating your own new paradigm, I'm here to help.

We all struggle with so many of the same mind traps, moods and relationship snags, but often people feel that they are alone in these patterns.
Are you curious about your own moods and patterns? Have you always wanted to understand yourself better? Do you feel that you could feel so much happier if you had new or better coping skills? My approach to psychotherapy is to use my years of experience working with people who are open, eager to learn and who are craving a life that is more fulfilling with less worry, self-disparagement and suffering. I have a practical, down to earth style that will let you feel safe and open to growth and change.

Clients often come to me during a deep life transition of some kind. They are looking for clarity and deeper meaning. They are motivated, and sometimes afraid to change. Issues of grief and death, relationship, career change, loss or aging often show up; a sense of "Who am I? What next? Where am I going? Where have I been?" Many times clients are looking for deeper spiritual awareness, either wanting to renew abandoned practices, or looking for something beyond their past experience. In each case they are looking to connect more directly with life and find methods to do so. They are looking for greater balance, peace and stability.

Tell me your story. If you've ever felt like you had a "picture perfect" life, but yet feel unable to enjoy yourself, or unable to express yourself, I may be able to relate and understand. Safety and support are hugely important to me. I offer psychotherapy in a supportive, non-judgmental style. Words that have been used to describe my style and my setting: warm, personal, insightful, thought-provoking, relaxed. If you feel like you need a therapist who is easy to talk with, but can also help you strategically think through issues, I might be the right fit.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
