Searching for the right therapist can be quite the challenge. The Counselors at ACC are here to listen to your pain, frustrations, and will sit with you through your struggles. If you are experiencing difficulty in your relationship, struggling with anger, or life in general, we will help you by identifying certain patterns and guide you with strategies to make helpful changes. You will learn effective skills and will be guided to use them properly so that you could feel heard and communicate calmly. Therapy can be brief or long-term. We will meet weekly, and ensure you will have tools to make it easier. Alternative therapies such as Thought Field Therapy (TFT) and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) are quick and effective to lifting negative symptoms. TFT is an excellent form of treatment if you suffer from phobia, anxiety, OCD, and/or trauma. Approach is gentle yet direct.

The connection between the client and therapist is vital, and thus it's okay to come for one session to assess whether you're comfortable with me. Therapy is for growth and change, and it requires someone who will listen and be supportive, yet someone who can challenge you. Anger Management 818 offers over 12 anger management classes weekly, both in person and via telehealth. Most of our classes are co-ed, however we offer a women's only class and a men's only class as well. Court-order and probation-ordered clients welcome! Materials covered include Anger Management, Stress Management, Emotional Intelligence, Effective Communication, Boundary Setting and Codependency. Volunteer and court mandated are all welcome. A Co-ed anger management group which meets weekly on Tuesdays at 7 pm at the Glendale location. Court-ordered and probation-ordered folks are welcome to attend - Anger Management 818 is on the California Association of Anger Management Provider's (CAAMP) list for courts and probation. Our program covers tools and strategies to deescalate aggression, improve communication and listening skills, improve relationships, increase empathy and emotional intelligence and much more.
