My goal is to hold hope for individuals, couples and families until they are able to hope for themselves. My office (Cleveland or Chattanooga) will provide calm, comfort and support to you in the toughest of times life can throw at you.

I have been working in the mental health field since 1995 and with both adolescents and adults. I have worked in a variety of settings, including residential, in-home, and outpatient. Some particular areas of focus are: emotional issues that disrupt one's life (including anxiety, stress, anger management and depression), parenting struggles, adolescent and young adult issues, parent/child relationships and improving/enhancing marital relationships. My therapeutic model is eclectic and utilizes multiple techniques. I welcome all religions, ethnicity, gender identities and sexual orientations.

I am a Masters Level therapist with 17+ years experience. I work with older children through senior adults, marriage/family/parenting issues, and mental health disorders, such as Depression and Anxiety. As a former teacher, I have a unique combination of experiences that contribute to my success in working with youth. When counseling school age children, I involve the client's entire environment (parents, teachers, etc.) to develop a comprehensive plan in treating the whole client. I am a member of the AACC.

No matter how much effort you put forth in your significant relationships, the message you want them to receive, seems lost in the confusion of misunderstandings. You want to love and be loved, but you continue to feel alone and sometimes devalued. What is their problem --or your's? How can you connect in healthy ways and maintain your own personal values and goals? As your mind continues to repeat memories of failed attempts to fix what has gone wrong, you don't know where to turn for real help. Everyone seems to have an answer, but no one sees the whole picture. There are times when an objective listener is the best option.

I am passionately committed to working with couples, families, and individuals of most ages. I have 4+ years of experience working with children and families in the foster care system and the range of effects this has on each family member. It is a privilege to work with couples and families in conflict to keep them together when possible, and mitigate the devastating consequences of divorce when it’s unavoidable. Some of these consequences include: trauma, suicidal thoughts and ideation, anxiety, depression, behavioral, and relational issues (insecurity, instability, and conflict).

I have been helping others: Special needs, Relational, Behavioral, A&D, Elderly, and Children as a C.N.A., Foster mother, Care giver, Activity Director, and as a Therapist during my adult life. I have 10 grandchildren, and 4 are special needs children. I have several years experience providing Couples/Marriage, Family, and Behavioral and Mental therapy; and am eclectic in my use of modalities. I am an author with Good News and multiple other psychology sites. Heal and Hope Counseling Services, LLC have 3-5 counselors of diverse backgrounds, cultures, languages, and specialties!!! Hello! I am a therapist that specializes in family therapy and therapy for children and teens ages 3-18. I also enjoy working with adults of all ages who are experiencing grief. I believe that children and families are exceptionally resilient. However, there are times when circumstances become too overwhelming to bear alone. Children may have difficulty sharing their emotions verbally and will instead act out, causing stress in the family. My passion is creating a safe space for healing to occur.
