My hope is to offer a therapeutic relational space of safety and trust, where together areas can be explored that seem to interfere with the life meant to be experienced.
I am honored to work alongside children and families to help them thrive. As a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) I believe it is through safe, nurturing relationships that children are free to express themselves through their natural language of play. With compassion and understanding, I use both a child centered and directive approach, while encouraging outside support systems essential to this work. My previous life as a certified teacher including special interest in drama, learning styles and special education richly inform my work.

I work with adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, grief, chronic pain, issues of personal identity (race/gender/sexuality orientation), and life transitions (relational/ academic/professional). Navigating into the depths of who we are reveals we are so much more than what we sense at the surface. Having support on our journey can allow us to develop tolerance for our full range of emotions, gain awareness of what we feel in our bodies, discover new insights into past events, expand our ability to discuss fears, increase empathy for ourselves, experience more meaningful relationships.

My relational therapy employs Mindfulness meditation, Somatic (body based) therapy, ACT, DBT .
Life can be difficult and painful at times but it doesn't have to involve so much suffering. How may we find the calm stillness in the eye of our storm so as to relate to our mind and our present experience compassionately and even learn and grow from it? I invite you to open to your life in a new way: a way that relieves your suffering and promotes your health and expands your awareness. Through mindfully listening to the body and courageously opening and relating to the uncomfortable/painful, somatic therapy provides a practice of gentle self-exploration toward discovering your connection to your truth, purpose and life.

In our work together, we will safely and compassionately explore the story of how you came to be you, how this story informs your relational patterns, and work toward healing so that you may experience greater moments of peace, joy, and meaning.
Healing, growth, and change. Are you wondering if these common outcomes of therapy are actually possible for you, or if therapy works at all? Maybe you have a different set of questions. Can someone really help me overcome this dark depression or intense anxiety? Am I the only one feeling like this? Can our relationship rebound after this betrayal? What's wrong with me/him/her/them/us? Will I ever be free of this addiction? Why can't they just be happy for me? Questions like these are worthy to be asked and take a great deal of courage to seek the answers. You don't have to do this alone.
