I work with individual adults age 18-50 using relational, humanistic, CBT and DBT techniques.
As we struggle with life’s inevitable challenges, sometimes we get stuck in survival mode and lose touch with our sense of peace, joy and wholeness. We may feel lost or overwhelmed, unable to change or move forward. We may feel defective in some way, disconnected from Self and others, or as if we are not seen or accepted for who we are. Having a safe, non-judgmental, confidential relationship in which to explore our thoughts, feelings, challenges and hopes can be deeply healing and help us to find our way. It would be my honor and privilege to provide this for you as an ally on your path to wholeness.

My approach is attachment based, psychodynamic, & relational.
Pain is a sign that something needs our attention. When we are not aware of helpful ways to manage it, we look to what is available to us to cope as a survival tactic. We might numb our symptoms through food, social media, strained relationships, substances, negative self talk, excessive busyness---leaving us feeling disconnected or in constant conflict with others & ourselves. I believe in deep empathy, validation, & belonging. I vow to create a space where you will not be judged but held in all that you are. I view therapy as collaborative. You are the expert of your story & I am responsible to help you get grounded to anchor it.

My aim is to help those clients who want to use therapy for insight, self-exploration, healing and personal growth. My theoretical approach is holistic and relational, which means - together, we can explore the ways in which your personal history and learned habits may still be influencing your emotions, coping patterns and behaviors -- ultimately affecting your sense of self. Together we’ll sort out your feelings so that you can more fluidly access your innate capacity for compassionate self-care. I encourage a mindfulness focus to engage your “in-the-moment” experience. Our therapeutic connection can serve as a rich resource.

I am hopeful to address the client's specific needs through my various training, including psychoanalysis, attachment theory, relational therapy, and mindfulness.
** I EXCLUSIVELY SEE WOMEN** Life can bring pain and frustration into one's heart and mind. It creates sadness, anxiety, and a feeling of being stuck. It may feel hard to imagine that it is possible to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Therapy can offer clarity and strength as you work through, rather than avoid, that which causes you pain. Providing a safe space for someone to process is essential; and together we can traverse the inner journey of self-discovery. Exploring one's thoughts, feelings, and the unconscious can help bring to light that which keeps one stuck in unhealthy patterns.

As all of these issues stem from relational patterns, past and present, our work will inevitably focus on healing these patterns.
As humans, we are biologically wired for relationships, and when our relationships hurt, we hurt. In my work with individuals and couples, we come to understand that what is happening now is best understood in the larger context of "how we got here." Making sense of life long patterns and how they influence current relationships quickly calms anxieties and pain and opens a space for feeling and thinking in the present, where creative problem solving can help heal old wounds and breathe new life into current relationships.

We are all authors to our own stories, and experts in our own lives. When our stories are silenced, harmed, or rejected, this can affect our lives and identities in many ways. It takes immense bravery to let a stranger look past the cover of your story, and you deserve a space where the chapters you wish to process will be handled with respect and care. Whether you are new to therapy or have been participating in therapy for years, I believe that my role is to sit with you wherever you are at in life. Therapy is hard work, and I honor this through taking our time together at your own pace.

2020 and 2021 has brought on a large amount of change. Change that may have caused you to feel isolated, anxious or even scared. The loss of control has left many of us yearning to hug friends and/or family for comfort. My hope is to establish a safe, judgment free environment for you to explore the grief and anxiety you may feel. It is in these contexts that we can begin to discover new levels of honesty, awareness, and hopefully self-compassion and a greater sense of alignment with our new realities. I take the role of active listener, reflecting back to you patterns or themes that I notice in the stories or experiences you
