My goal is to create an environment where you are safe to explore yourself and the circumstances of your life in a compassionate, non-judgemental manner. I will help you to identify your therapeutic goals and use strategies best suited to your specific needs; always looking for and developing your inherent strengths that will enable you to achieve your goals. Mine is an eclectic approach to therapy that addresses, among other issues, anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief, life transitions, relationships, gender, and sexuality.
I bring to therapeutic partnerships a graduate education in Social Work, clinical experience in a college counseling setting, work with children and families, and work with adults with developmental disabilities and mental illness.
My approach to therapy has evolved through years of teaching at K-12 as well as University level, work in social justice and consultant work in education reform, collaborative group work and, ultimately, through my celebration of the human spirit.
