I connect well with some teens and most adults or couples. I find I work best with people who are invested in understanding why they feel as they do, or why they do what they do, and want a collaborative partner in exploring how to better manage the stressors in their life, whether internal or inter-relational. I have a background in anger management, which can often address problems of the underlying emotions, and help with communications skills. I tend to conceptualize from a psychodynamic perspective and educate my patients about these ideas when I think it will prove helpful.

I have training in RLT (Relational Life Therapy) and experience in working with couples on issues of intimacy, infidelity, parenting, communication strategies and maintaining their physical and emotional connection.
Do you find it difficult to articulate how you're feeling but know that something feels like it's missing? Are you having difficulty accessing your passion or connection to life? The meaningful connection you are seeking may in fact be with parts of yourself. Many of us are secretly wrestling with inner complexities and feeling alone in the process, yet we do not have to be. My goal is to partner with you in a deeper relationship with yourself that results in a deeper presence to your life, an awareness of patterns that may no longer be serving you and forming relationships where you are being seen and loved for your authentic self.

My orientation is largely psychodynamic, with attention to relational, attachment-focused, and depth psychology perspectives.
At times life can become overwhelming due to life transitions, relationship challenges, depression, or anxiety. I believe that life's struggles become more bearable when they can be held and explored in a safe therapeutic environment. My approach is warm and comprehensive, based in respect and genuine caring. In our work together, I will engage in an exploratory journey with you to gain insight into both your conscious and unconscious feelings and patterns. My hope is that through the therapeutic process you will find greater relief from suffering, allowing for healing and growth in your inner life and outer relationships.

I enjoy working with individuals (18 or older) that are curious about themselves, reflective and who desire change. The therapeutic alliance or the relational 'good fit' stands out as the fundamental factor in effective treatment. I am interested in developmental issues in adults and addressing repetitive patterns that stand in the way of growth. My approach is psychoanalytic psychotherapy including attachment , mentalization and creativity based treatments.

Waitlist for new clients
I am most effective for clients who are seeking a therapeutic experience which is relational in nature and who are wanting to explore root causes of their psychological distress while working towards the integration of the soul, or the authentic Self, as the key to heart-opening healing.
I believe the therapeutic relationship can be used to develop insight into patterns of interaction and connection to self and others. If clients are so inclined, I am happy to use spiritual tools such as astrology and divination tools to dive deep into the psyche. My hope is that I can assist and guide clients to develop internal trust and to live a joyful and autonomous life. I strongly feel that a non-judgmental and authentic stance can help support clients to feel more relaxed and present in their lives and help clients listen to their intuition to make life choices which are aligned with their values.

I believe that all persons posses a natural core of resilience, but that life experiences often block or limit access to this storehouse of strengths. I see my role in your therapeutic work as a guide and facilitator on your journey of growth and healing. I believe that relationship is primary in the work of psychotherapy, and that creating a collaborative, compassionate and supportive relational connection is essential to this work. I aspire to help you to create a process that will empower you to grow and heal, by deepening your connection to yourself, to others, and to Nature.

Using elements of cognitive processing, narrative work, EMDR, ACT, and relational techniques I strive to allow each of my clients to create their own path to healing.
Life and relationships bring vulnerability, often accompanied by pain and betrayal. Unprocessed, these experiences shape our self-image and future connections. Hurt or trauma can leave us feeling small, lonely, and burdened by secrecy or shame. Collaboratively, I help clients unlock patterns and painful experiences, fostering awareness and facilitating their journey towards embracing a fuller, unencumbered life.

Using Relational, Humanistic, Mindfulness, Somatic Awareness, Transpersonal, CBT, Narrative and Attachment modalities and theories I help you to uncover your True Self for empowered living and to create the relationships you want, with yourself and others.
I want you to feel seen and heard. Through compassion and empathic presence, I offer a safe space for you to heal, grow and come to more self-understanding, self- awareness and most importantly, self-acceptance. Do you ever feel stuck in the same cycles of life? Do you ever feel like you know what you "should" do but somehow you continue to end up in the same patterns? We all have to navigate the complexities of our lives and sometimes it makes all the difference to have a professional therapist to help navigate it with you.

I am a ceritfied RLT (Relational Life Therapy) therapist which is the foundation of my therapy with couples, and I integrate this approach with attachment and emotionally-focused couples therapy.
Are you feeling anxious, irritable or sad? Are you having difficulty in your relationships at home or at work? You don't have to go through this alone. We can often struggle in a life situation or circumstance and just feel stuck. What I know is that it is almost always possible to feel better and gain clearer insights into what makes us happy and what gets in our way. My approach in therapy is both humanistic and psychodynamic, with the core principles of mindfulness and self-compassion at the heart of my practice.

Relational Therapists
How does relational therapy work?
Relational therapy was developed by psychologist Jean Miller, whose ideas stressed that having strong connections with others encourages better health and well-being when compared with a lonely existence. Conversely, poor interpersonal relationships do not foster growth and learning. Relational therapy also encourages trust in others and patience with others, along with better communication and less conflict.
Is relational therapy evidence-based?
Relational therapy is not well-studied, and it may not be as effective in treating certain mental health conditions when compared with evidence-based treatments like cognitive behavioral or acceptance and commitment therapy. However, relational therapy uses techniques found in cognitive behavioral therapy as well as psychodynamic therapy, which are both well-studied with empirical research.
How long are people typically in relational therapy?
Clients may see improvement after a few weeks or months of therapy. Like cognitive behavioral therapy, relational therapy can reduce symptoms within 10 to 20 weeks, at 45 to 50 minutes once a week. But like any type of therapy, improvement depends on the person and the severity of the problem.
Does relational therapy work?
While no therapy type will work for everyone, some evidence suggests that this therapy can be effective. Relational therapy can help a person manage problematic relationships as well as the mental health conditions that accompany difficult relationships like depression or anxiety. This therapy type may offer benefits that are hard to measure but can be just as valuable—including feelings of higher self-worth or healthier connections with others.
