Announcement icon At this time, I conduct all sessions online (Zoom) or by phone.
I offer psychotherapy and psychoanalysis (intensive form of psychotherapy) to individuals seeking to not only discover solutions for their life concerns but also to gain greater understanding of their inner lives and shift long-standing patterns in their relationships and career. My clinical expertise focuses on issues related to gender and sexuality, embodied experiences, relational traumas, and social traumas (e.g., experiences of social prejudice and cultural oppression). My work is suited for individual seeking to grow their creative aspirations, to develop satisfying relationships, and to face life's losses.
I earned a PhD in Counseling Psychology and a Doctoral Minor in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I am a psychoanalytic candidate at the National Training in Psychoanalysis (New York City).
I am a professor at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, CA, where I chair the Clinical Psychology department. I am a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and an active member of psychoanalytic, humanistic, and feminist professional organizations.
