I find it a privilege to work with adult individuals, couples, and adolescents during periods of growth, transition, or challenge in their lives. I work primarily with the diagnoses of depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating issues, adjustment disorders, and relationship difficulties. My approach to psychotherapy is primarily psychodynamic and depth-oriented, with aspects of cognitive-behavioral theory integrated as well. I also have a strong interest in contemporary and relational psychoanalysis. I believe in the therapeutic process for symptom relief, for personal insight, for experiencing new ways of being, and for the deepening of human relationships.

With 15 years of experience, I specialize in working with women's issues and couples in gridlock, as well as anxiety/depression/stress, parenting issues, dating concerns, challenges with navigating your career, and managing marital conflict. My approach in treatment is down to earth, authentic, and compassionate.

I spent the better part of a decade in the addiction treatment industry working with eating disorders, drug and alcohol addiction, codependency, chronic relapse, dual diagnosis, families, adolescents, depression, anxiety, bipolar, psychosis, PTSD and trauma. Basically everything. Working in that industry opened my eyes to the need for adequate trauma treatment so I became trained as an EMDR practitioner. In studying mind- body approaches to trauma, such as EMDR, I learned about the effectiveness of Eastern Practices such as Yoga and Meditation in treating a range of psychological challenges.
