We provide supportive psychotherapy for patients with a serious illness or injury, who now live with chronic pain and impairment. It is not unusual to experience problems with stress, depression, and anxiety after a medical crisis, and to become isolated from the flow of life. You will be given an individual therapist to support you and help you learn about the specific skills, attitudes, and behaviors that help you slowly but steadily "push back" and regain quality of life.
Your individual needs will be thoroughly assessed and discussed, and we will begin training and practice of the skills that lead to recovery. These include meditative training in pain and stress management, using biofeedback training and other self-calming skills, improvements in daily health habits, along with the option of group therapy if wanted.
It is our goal to make you feel understood and welcomed from the very first interaction you have with our clinic. We believe that every person is capable of making changes in their lives that will promote self healing and self worth, and we are determined to make those goals accessible to anyone who is in need.
