I have been in private practice for over 25 years providing counseling to adults, adolescents, couples and families. Although I specialize in couple and family therapy, I also have extensive experience addressing problems of anxiety depression, mood disorders, ADHD, learning and social disabilities, alcoholism and substance abuse. I also provide evaluations and treatment for individuals facing life crises such as divorce, chronic illness, infertility, adoption and job loss.
My focus is exploring th issues underlying the presenting problems and identifying an individual's strengths, coping skills and motivation. Treatment reflects the unique emotional,and intellectual needs of each individual and is both collaborative and client focused. I utilize several therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused therapy and Family Systems Theory.
