I work with those experiencing trauma after the betrayal and disclosure of sexual addiction and infidelity by their partner. I am a certified partner trauma therapist candidate and provide trauma-focused work for individuals and couples. I have training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based modality that tracks the negative interaction cycle that causes distress and results in insecure attachment and disconnection. Additionally, I provide EMDR, a researched-based technique, for clients experiencing trauma and symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I am a preferred provider in family enmeshment issues.

Regina is supervised by and works closely with a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and has received direct experience working with partners dealing with betrayal trauma, sex addiction and is familiar with the process of preparing for a formal disclosure, creating boundary plans, receiving polygraph results, as well as co-facilitating groups for support.

I use a trauma-focused approach with my clients. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then collaboratively decide on the most appropriate way to make progress and set goals. With trauma-focused therapy, we'll look at the origins of the triggers and trauma that you've experienced and how/if it relates to current issues. I may employ EMDR to help the client heal.
