I've always been taught that the therapeutic relationship is the most important element in a client's success. And it's proven to be true. I believe that the therapist-client relationship works best when the client feels comfortable with the therapist and is able to be honest about their needs. Therefore, I try to make the therapy space feel comfortable and judgement free. As you and I build the therapeutic relationship, I listen to your needs to provide you the best care possible. Let's work as a team to help you learn to thrive.
I use an integrative approach. I take skills from different therapy types and use them to suite your needs. I love mindfulness based approaches taking pieces from IFS, narrative therapy, CBT, and person-centered therapy. This helps to get in touch with your emotions, work through past trauma, or manage anxiety, stress and unhealthy thinking patterns.
I work to create a safe, judgement-free space. It takes time to build trust, so I respect your boundaries and how much or how little you feel comfortable sharing. I won't push you to talk about anything you don't want to. This is your time. For the shy littles, they are welcome to talk through art, play, or my toys.
