I am a skilled couples therapist who has trained with master therapists under both the EFT and Gottman traditions.

I have experience and training helping individuals through eating disorders, trauma & PTSD, depression, and anxiety, as well as experience working with a wide range of psychological concerns, including self-esteem issues, self-harm behaviors, body dysmorphia, perfectionism, and life transitions.

I work with people facing all sorts of struggles. Some of the most common issues I help with include depression, anxiety, identity formation, and relationship problems between couples or within families. I have a lot of experience in working with conflict between children and adolescents and their parents. I believe in the importance of helping people to understand the roots of their behaviors. I combine therapeutic styles based on what my clients want and need.

My professional experience, academic emphasis, and personal passion aims at helping clients experience their full potential. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I also work as a performance consultant for competitive athletes and coaches using mental skills training. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University and have fifteen years of clinical experience in private practice throughout western Washington.

I enjoy growth-oriented work with couples or individuals: setting goals that challenge and move us forward towards a less conflicted life and a greater understanding. I use a variety systemic therapeutic models dedicated toward solutions and the restoration of hopefulness. A few of these are Solution Focused therapy: an empowering look at what's possible for the future and what's worked in the past, Bowen therapy working on a person's strengths as an independent being and an eclectic blend of other styles based on what the client needs, wants and will benefit from.

Trauma may increase physical, mental, and emotional distress, leading to symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more. In my practice, I work to reduce distress to improve these symptoms by helping you find your inner strength and learn how to cope. I have experience and training helping individuals through trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, eating disorders, and more, utilizing a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach. I am also experienced working with survivors of sexual and domestic violence.

As Licensed Behavior Analyst, I founded ASBI to support our neurodivergent communities by making ABA with a trauma-informed approach, more accessible and individualized. I lead with the assumption that each client I work with has had trauma that may have inhibited their emotional growth, skill development, and the ability to set boundaries, or form trusting relationships. Compassionate care is an essential component of my practice, where trust is built and skills are practiced in a safe space, both physically and emotionally.

I believe that people do the best they can given the circumstances. Often times we come up with coping skills that are useful at some point in our life but then we out grow them but continue using them- which can lead to a cycle of behaviors and outcomes that can cause more hurt and isolation. I believe people's deepest longings are often to be loved, seen and known- and our actions are often to protect those vulernable feelings that come from that longing.

Counselor and Life Coach. I began counseling young people as a para-pastoral counselor in 1970. I was later a student counselor at The Evergreen State College as an undergrad. I was a professional vocational counselor for 5 years while completing my MA. In my own private practice, I have been counseling married couples, families and individuals for over 27 years. I specialize in marriage and individual counseling and coaching across a wide range of emotional, behavioral and motivational issues.

I offer a unique, holistic approach to transformational healing and growth through a weaving of shamanism, psychotherapy, and coaching. I am direct, compassionate, and intuitive in working with clients, offering deep integrity, fortitude, and over 3 decades of shamanic practice supporting journeys of healing, personal mastery, and authenticity.
