About
My goal is to help you achieve a healthier mind, body and relationship with yourself and others. I work with clients to help them understand the reasons for the development of their problems and support them in utilizing their strengths to live a more meaningful and healthy life. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with over twenty years of experience, I provide counseling to adolescents and adults struggling with a range of symptoms, including depression, anxiety, and difficulties in relationships. I practice psychotherapy from a relational perspective and use cognitive behavioral techniques when appropriate.
My specialty is working with women who struggle with eating and body image issues. Whether you feel entrenched in eating issues or just feel you have developed a few unhealthy tendencies, my counseling provides the necessary alternative coping skills that can change how you view food, your body and yourself.
When necessary, I collaborate with and can provide referrals to Nutritionists, Psychiatrists, and Primary Care Physicians.
