Our mission is to provide compassionate and evidence-based treatment to individuals who are struggling with eating disorders, feeding disorders, and other mental health issues. We believe that every person deserves to have a well-balanced and maintainable relationship with food and their body. We strive to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where our clients can explore their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors around food and their body. Our approach is holistic and we believe in also addressing the underlying issues.
We are dedicated to using trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions that have been shown to be effective in treating eating disorders. Our practice has 3 clinicians that are all Certified Eating Disorder Specialists (CEDS). Christina Cown (nutrition therapy), Kathryn Short (adult therapy), and Amber DeGarmo (adolescent and adult therapy).
Our office is a cozy and therapeutic environment for our clients. Our hope is that each person that walks in the door feels welcomed, loved, and a part of our mission to bring healing and change for our clients. We want you to feel safe here.

Groups
RRCA Eating Disorder Support Group
This group is designed for individuals in the recovery process from an eating disorder/disordered eating. The purpose is to provide peer support, shared experiences and encouragement. I will also provide psychoeducation, strategies for maintaining recovery, and evidence based eating disorder skills. The group runs from April 1-May 20, 2025 (8 weeks) from 12:30-1:30 at Reedy River Counseling.
