I enjoy working with patients that want to move beyond the cookie cutter structure of many types of therapies in order to increase insight, improve adaptive coping, increasing holistic health, and are motivated for change. My sessions tend to be more conversational and dynamic, where the client isn't just talking to a grey wall and I'm not monologuing at them. Although I provide some structure, I allow for the flexibility that life demands and as additional stressor may arise. I have extensively worked with male individuals that have experienced multiple types of trauma, including combat, sexual, and childhood.
I have extensively worked with a military population, which has provided me with a unique insight into men’s issues and trauma (chronic, acute, and sexual). Additionally, my work has included work with neurodivergent clients, particularly ADHD, borderline personality disorder, those looking to change health behaviors, and substance use/abuse.
