I take a very down-to-earth approach to counseling. By focusing on what is real and the truth of one's experiences, I encourage my clients to participate in their own recovery processes and to develop new behaviors that produce new results and better solutions. It is my personal belief that as a society we have developed a dysfunctional lifestyle based on fantasy and myth. We act on these false beliefs every day, keeping us stuck in old, immature patterns of reactionary behavior, instead of responding to life's challenges as adults.
My job is to assist you in discovering your own truth and reality. Areas of specialty include men's issues, substance abuse, addictions, self esteem issues, couples work, father/son relationships, dysfunctional family of origin work, anger resolution therapy, relapse prevention, physical/sexual/ verbal/ emotional abuse, and trauma/ post traumatic stress.

Groups
Adolescent Boys
The focus is on anger, internet pornography, social media, substance abuse, male roles, sexuality, bullying, and opposiional defiance. Other topics will be introduced as needed. Groups will be separated by ages 13-15 and 16-18. Groups will be limited to four members each.This will be an ongoing group and new members will be added only when a space is vacated. Groups will begin in January, 2014. Space is limited so call 972/960-2222 to reserve a space.
