As a licensed clinical social worker, I have been in the field of mental health with a focus on complex trauma and substance use since 2013. When partnering with someone in therapy, my focus is relearning to care for our wounded parts with love and empathy. My clinical experience is broad; most recently my work has been with intergenerational trauma, managing emotional flooding, attachment, and creating a culturally compassionate space for Native folks.
I have a passion for radical self-acceptance and kindness, and use an eclectic approach to achieve these measures including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, gestalt therapy, and narrative therapy. Healing begins with self-compassion; often times we are our harshest critics.
In session I will focus on connection and seeing you as a whole. You and I will build a safe space together at a pace which suits you, to begin your journey. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all; this is YOUR process, and I am honored to come alongside you!
