I graduated from VCU with a Master of Social Work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia. I have worked in community mental health and substance use services for over 15 years and have experience working with various mental health disorders to include anxiety, depression, psychotic and mood disorders, and substance use disorders. My approach is strength-based and I utilize identified strengths to help individuals live a life where they can thrive while also increasing ones' capacity for difficult emotions and feelings.
I believe human connection is essential to living a fulfilling life, therefore I utilize various therapeutic approaches such as relational, acceptance and commitment, person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and aspects of psychodynamic therapy to increase the capacity for human connection as well as build the foundations for functional relationship patterns.
