I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 20+ years experience in the mental health field. I have a diverse professional background, having worked in community mental health, residential treatment, independent counseling groups and private practice. I provide a safe, caring environment for my clients so they feel comfortable discussing their thoughts and feelings without judgment. I approach therapy with warmth, attentive listening skills and humor. My objective is to help my clients to overcome barriers to their fundamental happiness.
As an Emotionally Focused Therapist, I help my clients reconnect and strengthen their relationships.Couples will cultivate greater awareness and acceptance of emotion while creating a sense of greater intimacy. EFT research shows that 70-75% of couples move from marital distress to recovery and approximately 90% show significant improvements.
My goal is to help the client develop the tools necessary to address their own problems and live a happier, more fulfilling life. My practice is solution focused, using cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems and psychodynamic techniques.
