I am committed to providing a safe space in an effort to encourage you to bring all of yourself to therapy. I am supportive and direct. I will advocate for you and challenge you to be curious about your own lens. Therapy is hard work; humor is central to this process. We can all benefit from being more playful and taking ourselves less seriously. I integrate several orientations, including psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioral techniques, and mindfulness practices—depending on your needs. I will meet you on your own terms and we will make sense together.
Some of my professional interests include identity development, gender and sexuality issues, relationship concerns, mood disorders, working with athletes, college, graduate and medical students, and maternal mental health.
I also enjoy working with people who are struggling with eating and body imagine concerns; I practice from an anti-diet approach to treatment.
